The instructions how to remove them without damaging your real nails:

Cut your nails short
File your (gel,dip,acrylic)nails as thin as possible
Pour acetone on the cotton ball
Place it on top of your nails
Wrap it with foil
Wait 15-25 minutes until it totally melted.
Remove the foil wraps
Buff and file the nails
Polish with nail straightener if you have one
